This can happen, for example, if the melamine product has been exposed to hard impacts (e.g., dropped on the floor), frequent use in the dishwasher, and contact with high heat over a longer period. Please check your products regularly for cracks and dispose of them if you find damage. Melamine products are not suitable for microwave, freezer, and temperatures above 70° Celsius. Melamine can be cleaned in a standard dishwasher at 60° to 70° Celsius.
