This can happen, for example, if the melamine product has been exposed to harsh impacts (e.g., falling on the floor), frequent dishwasher use, and contact with high heat over a long period. Please regularly check your products for cracks and discard them if you find damage. Melamine products are not suitable for the microwave, freezer, and temperatures above 70° Celsius. Melamine can be cleaned in a standard dishwasher at 60° to 70° Celsius.
