This can happen, for example, if the melamine product has been exposed to hard impacts (e.g., falling on the floor), frequent use of the dishwasher, and contact with high heat for an extended period. Please check your products regularly for cracks and dispose of them if you notice any damage. Melamine products are not suitable for the microwave, freezer, or for temperatures above 70° Celsius. Melamine can be cleaned in a standard dishwasher at 60° to 70° Celsius.
