The cuddly soft Cocoon by Hvid, made from extra-fine Italian merino wool, is a gentle form of swaddling - the baby can still move but is kept warm. Babies are tightly enclosed in the womb for 9 months, the Cocoon mimics the womb and keeps your baby calm by creating a warm and confined space, just like in the womb. In practice, it has been shown that babies calm down when they are in the Cocoon. Merino wool does not scratch, is antibacterial and is therefore perfect for sensitive children's skin.

Attention: The Cocoon is not a sleeping bag. Must only be used under constant supervision.

Note: The product images are studio shots from the manufacturer. Colors/materials may vary slightly from the original.

Depending on the size of your little one, you can place the knot higher or move it lower. The knot prevents your baby from slipping out of the Cocoon. For a short nap, you can leave the hooded part of the Cocoon down.

The Cocoon can be used multifunctionally: During the day for supervised naps, in the stroller, to soothe your baby when they have cramps, or when they can't settle in the evening. Simply for cuddling, while breastfeeding, for a walk so the blanket doesn't get lost, or even after a nice bath. Also suitable for premature babies to maintain a constant body temperature.

  • Material: 100% extra fine Italian merino wool
  • Size: 0-8 months

To maintain the structure and softness, wool should be washed as little as possible! Merino wool is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning, so it does not need to be washed frequently. Often, it is enough to air the garment outdoors or hang it in a damp bathroom.

If washing is necessary, choose one of the two washing instructions:

1. Hand wash

  • Lukewarm water (max. 20 °C)
  • Only wool detergent, no fabric softener
  • Move carefully, do not rub or wring

2. Machine wash

  • Only on a wool wash cycle
  • Max. 20 °C, low spin speed
  • Wool detergent, no fabric softener
  • Do not use delicate or hand wash programs

Always dry flat, not in direct heat such as radiators or tumble dryers
