Metal Primer & Undercoat for White and Light Tones

Specifically developed for use with Estate Eggshell, this richly pigmented primer is the essential base for an even and long-lasting colour result.

The rust-inhibiting primer for all untreated metal surfaces has been specially developed for use with Exterior Eggshell, Estate Eggshell, Full Gloss or Dead Flat. This allows for smooth surfaces and perfect colour results on railings, radiators, garden furniture and drainpipes.

DEEPER COLOURS

Primers are available in four shades: White & Light Tones, Mid Tones, Red & Warm Tones, and Dark Tones. Each primer contains a carefully formulated blend of pigments that creates an initial layer of colour on the wall. Only with the correct primer can our colours achieve their characteristic depth and vibrancy, down to the undertones.

EXCEPTIONAL COVERAGE

Because they are formulated with the same rich pigments and a proven water-based formula, primers ensure that the paint adheres perfectly to the substrate. This creates a soft, even finish – and also gives the paint its enormous yield and exceptional coverage.

IMPROVED ADHESION AND DURABILITY

Farrow & Ball paints are highly efficient when applied to the appropriate primer layer. The primer ensures that the paint adheres optimally to the substrate and lasts a long time. The surface remains colour-intensive and beautiful for longer, so you have to repaint less often.

Using the Primer

It is recommended to use the appropriate primers whenever you paint with a Farrow & Ball colour. It brings out the best in the colours. Furthermore, you are on the safe side when you work within the system and only use products from one manufacturer. This avoids any problems that may arise from incompatibility.

For perfect paint application, we recommend the following procedure:

• The filling quantity of a container is 0.75l and is sufficient for approx. 9m²
• Two coats of the Primer & Undercoat in the recommended shade. (You can find the correct primer, for example, on the back of our colour card or on our corresponding product page online.)
• Two coats of your chosen colour.
