Metal Primer & Undercoat for Mid Tones

Specially developed for use with Estate Eggshell, this richly pigmented primer is the essential base for an even and long-lasting color result.

This rust-protective primer for all untreated metal surfaces has been specially developed for use with Exterior Eggshell, Estate Eggshell, Full Gloss, or Dead Flat. This allows for smooth surfaces and perfect color results on railings, radiators, garden furniture, and gutters.

DEEPER COLORS

Primers are available in four shades: White & Light Tones, Mid Tones, Red & Warm Tones, and Dark Tones. Each primer contains a carefully formulated blend of pigments that creates an initial layer of color on the wall. Only with the correct primer do our paints achieve their characteristic depth and vibrancy, right down to the undertones.

EXCEPTIONAL COVERAGE

Because they are formulated with the same rich pigments and on the proven water-based formula, primers ensure that the paint adheres perfectly to the substrate. This creates a soft, even finish – and also gives the paint its enormous yield and exceptional coverage.

IMPROVED ADHESION AND DURABILITY

Farrow & Ball paints are very economical when applied over the appropriate primer coat. The primer ensures that the paint adheres optimally to the substrate and lasts a long time. The surface retains its color intensity and beauty for longer, meaning you need to repaint less often.

Using the Primer

It is recommended to use the corresponding primers whenever you are painting with a Farrow & Ball color. It brings out the best in the colors. Furthermore, you are on the safe side when working within the system and only using products from one manufacturer. This helps you avoid any problems that may arise from incompatibility.

For a perfect paint application, we recommend the following procedure:

• The container volume is 0.75l and covers approx. 9m²
• Two coats of Primer & Undercoat in the recommended color. (You can find the correct primer, for example, on the back of our color card or on our corresponding product page online.)
• Two coats of your chosen color.
