The story behind Toddlekind playmats

Toddlekind was founded in early 2018 by British mother Samantha Brueckner, who was desperate for a stylish playmat for her baby. She hadn't been able to find a nice playmat, so she set about developing pretty playmats herself.

Just like Sam's half-German, half-British family, the name Toddlekind is a mix of the two languages: "Toddler", which means Kleinkind in English, combined with the German word "Kind". For German ears, it sounds and means one thing, and for English ears, another. That's exactly how things are in Sam's household every day!
