PROCESS AND SUPPLY CHAIN

The production of the elegant linen collection remains in Europe from A to Z, so Nobodinoz has complete oversight of the production process and controls all steps of creation and manufacturing. The flax is harvested in northern France, then brought to the workshop in Barcelona where it is woven, finished, and completed. No intermediaries are involved. This supply chain ensures that production is traceable and sustainable.

The short and local production chain guarantees quality and a minimization of the carbon footprint, as French linen does not rely on air or sea transport. Thanks to its perfect knowledge of fabric finishing, Nobodinoz has managed to transform linen into a soft and refined fabric, which has been certified with OEKO TEX Class 1. This means that the linen articles meet the strictest requirements and limit values of the product class for babies.

ADVANTAGES OF LINEN

Linen, also known as flax, is a natural fiber obtained from the stems of the flax plant. The material is tear-resistant and, fortunately, does not pill. Linen products do not pollute the environment because they become a driving force for ecological transformation. The production and processing of flax also require much less water than other natural materials. Cotton, by comparison, consumes one hundred times more water in cultivation and processing.

Flax is a very frugal and undemanding plant, requiring very little attention in terms of fertilization and care. The minimal use of fertilizers and pesticides avoids soil and water pollution, and its cultivation does not require additional, artificial irrigation. Another positive aspect is that there is no waste when using flax – every part of the plant is processed. Besides textiles, for example, paper and mats are made from it. The seeds of the plant are edible and are used for oil production. Flax fibers are also biodegradable and recyclable, making them clearly superior to cotton or synthetic fibers. Flax cultivation leaves a very positive ecological footprint and is characterized by its high environmental friendliness.

Babies, in particular, have sensitive skin that reacts to irritants such as perfume, synthetic materials, or scratchy textile surfaces. For this reason, it is especially important for changing pads and sleeping bags to use a comfortable, well-tolerated material. The natural linen not only avoids this risk but also brings with it hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. Thanks to its ability to absorb and quickly release moisture, it helps to regulate temperature on warm summer days.
