Today, with your purchase, you're bringing a smile to children's faces, because this year again, on Black Friday, we are donating 10% of today's sales to the Theodora Foundation, whose Dream Doctors bring joy and laughter to children in hospitals. Since 1993, the Theodora Foundation has aimed to brighten the daily lives of children in hospitals and specialized institutions with joy and laughter. To achieve this, the foundation organizes and finances weekly visits by professional artists – the Dream Doctors – to hospitals and institutions for children with disabilities. Every year, these funny, magical characters bring laughter and moments of happiness to thousands of children's visits across Switzerland.
The Dream Doctors are specially trained and work in consultation with nursing staff. The foundation offers five programs: Dream Doctors and Operation Escort for young patients in hospital, Mr. and Mrs. Dream and Little Orchestra of the Senses for children with disabilities, and The Little Champs for overweight children in obesity therapy.
Recognized as a non-profit organization, the foundation receives no government subsidies and finances its weekly artist visits exclusively through the support of donors and partners.
The Theodora Foundation is a founding member of the European Federation of Healthcare Clown Organizations (EFHCO).
